DISCOVER A MAGNIFICENT COUNTRYSIDE IN THE CENTER OF FRANCE

The Center-Val de Loire region is crossed by the Loire Valley characterized by its wide agricultural landscape, wild forests and its wonderful castles. It is also a great wine region known above all for its white wines such as Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé.
The Loire Valley is relatively flat and crisscrossed with cycle paths including a 800 km long bike touring route.
A HISTORIC PLACE...
Mondoubleau is a little village located in the very rural part of the Perche district.
The town was the former diocese of Chartres. Mondoubleau is also an ancient fortified town, whose castle was built in the first half of the 11th century at the highest point by Hugues Doubleau (hence the name). A Benedictine monastery of which it was the seat was destroyed in the thirteenth century.

Apart of the local bio products market, the village has supermarkets, some restaurants, bars and cafes, several banks, a post office, and a lot of shops or beauty salons.
Our cottage is located in the very center of the village, a few steps away the XIII° church and the typical local bio products market.
